Everything Fits With Style

Like The Pieces of a Puzzle!

Style are those aspects of uniqueness (or sameness) of personal appearance and personal behavior relative to current culture and those with whom you come into contact. Style is more than fashion or the clothes your wear. (Although what you wear will certainly create a first impression, just as you want it to.) Your Style is also how you speak, Kim Possible © Disneyhow you behave, how you groom, how you spend your time, your interests, how you associate with others and who you choose to associate with. All of which are facets of your Style. Style is not a judgment, Style is an expression, an expression of those aspects of your Self which you choose to project. How you see your Self relative to others and how you wish others to see you. (Yes, some will see you how they want to see you regardless of who or what you really are... "WhatEver!!!")

Grooming is the foundation of your Style. Personal Grooming is not only an important part of your personal Style, but Good Grooming is also key to your professional goals as well. From the bottom of your feet to the top of your head, Good Grooming and hygiene will either make you attractive or signal everyone to "keep their distance". Kim Possible © DisneyThe choice, as always, is yours.Good Grooming makes you physically more attractive. In many martial arts traditions good grooming and cleanliness is mandatory. To build Kung-Fu skills (like Kim), you must care for your body. Good Grooming habits project a healthy self-esteem as part of your Style. No matter your Style Punk or Preppy, Good Grooming accents and drives home your Style.

Etiquette

We all have it. Etiquette is nothing more than rules you follow that control your behavior. Do you act differently with one group of friends than you do with another group of friends? Or do you have a different Style with your best friend than the one you have with a casual acquaintance? You adjust your Etiquette, your Style, depending upon with whom you are hanging around. When you are with parents you act differently than you would if you were at a formal setting such as in the work place or at a wedding. Kim Possible © Disney You conduct your Self by different rules in different situations. (It doesn't change who you are.) That is Etiquette... "No Big" and no big trick. The more formal the setting, the more formal the Etiquette. And for the really formal stuff there are some hard and fast rules that can be learned. Don't practice formal Etiquette to impress or alienate, but to offer respect to those around and to your host. When Kim Possible goes to Japan to save a toy factory from Drakken, She bows to the president of the company. She doesn't extend Her hand to shake, as She would in America, Kim Honors and respects the customs, the Etiquette, of the host and bows politely. Other countries and peoples have other customs not native to your home country. But if you take the time to learn the basic customs of the hosts, they will know you respect and Honor them, and they in turn will Honor and respect you. Same thing when you visit a friend's home, or meet new people or engage your elders. Even in martial arts, Etiquette dictates, we bow to our opponent before the bout begins as a sign of respect.

Exercising proper Etiquette will earn you respect
as Kim has earned respect around the globe.

To have a unique and personal Style, you must have Leadership.
For any Style to be effective, impressive, and to have impact one must exhibit Confidence.
Leadership is an aspect of, and the planned application of your Confidence.
To exhibit Confidence, like Kim Possible, you use your Leadership.
Leadership is implemented in two ways:

Personal Leadership and Community Leadership.

Personal Leadership is what you use to enact your decisions and reach your Goals.
Community Leadership is the Leadership you use when interacting with others.

Personal Leadership is like operating in the void of space.
There are no outside forces, no gravitational pull, to take you in any direction.
You provide the force, the will, the motivation to propel yourself.
You have decided on your Goals, and the steps you will take to reach them.
Your will to move forward comes through your Personal Leadership.
Embracing Responsibility for your Self, is the Key to Personal Leadership.
Kim Possible © DisneyYou decide the What, Where and How, then you Go.
Decide what to wear, when to study,
who to hang around with.
Everything you do is a part of your Style.
Including your decisions.
And all your decisions, from the smallest to the
most important define your Style.
Personal Leadership is making the decisions
that help define the Style you want.
You make the Command Decision.
This is the Leadership you provide for your Self.
The clothes you wear,
how you speak and how you carry yourself;
Your Personal Leadership puts the weight to your Style that makes it real.

There are two aspects of Community Leadership.

One is Leading by Example.
Kim Possible does the right thing, not only when no one is looking,
but also when someone, or everyone, is looking.
Kim's Grounding in Herself and in what is Honorable provides
Her the Centeredness to Lead by Example irregardless of the circumstance
or situation She finds Herself in at any given moment.
Her Style doesn't change with the winds or the opinions of others.
Kim sets an example, not by forcing Her Style on others,
but by Herself walking down the Path of Honor.
Kim's Style is the display of Leading by Example.

The second aspect of Community Leadership is:
Providing Direction that is both beneficial for you,
and for everyone you choose to associate with and/or are Responsible for.
To be a be a Leader you must have a Style that projects Trustworthiness.
Trust is rarely gained in an instant, but instead, is earned over time.
Your words and deeds will define this key aspect of your Style.
Which will stick with you and will be carried with you beyond the day.
Which can't be just taken off and changed like your clothes.
Your words and deeds will define the most important aspect of your Style, Your Character.
To be a Leader in the community, means being versatile.
Not sacrificing your Honor, but realizing that everyone is in a different place.
That helping them make the right and Honorable decision, requires flexibility in your Style. Your message does not change, just your delivery Style:
Kim Possible © Disney

"leaders must be able to adjust their leadership style to the situation as well as to the people being led. Leaders are not limited to one style in a given situation and, with the nature of the battlefield today and tomorrow, being able to adapt appropriate styles will influence soldiers' success. Techniques from different styles are used to motivate people and accomplish the mission. A leader's judgment, intelligence, cultural awareness, and self-control 'play major roles in helping you choose the proper style and the appropriate techniques for the task at hand...'" (1)

Leadership is never above but always beside.

Kim Possible © Disney"Fashion and Style are two different things.
Fashions come and go, and most people try desperately to fit the passing trends. Your personal style, on the other hand, is something that should fit and express you—not the other way around. Authenticity matters. Even Sean Connery eventually gave up trying to hide his bald head—and many women now find him sexier than ever!"

Flexibility is key to any successful Style.
Stiff and ridged limits the variety of situations where you can be successful.
As with martial arts, flexibility is a key to a successful outcome.
Never be flexible with your Honor, but be flexible in your delivery;
And you will always be in Style.
And finally always remember that your Style should be fun!
A Smile never goes out of Style!
