Only a continuing journey into ever expanding Kimness.
quantum mechanics and
zen buddhism
Quantum Mechanics
holds that a particle is neither a particle or a wave, has no direction or velocity,
exhibits no characteristics
until, it is observed or measured.
Zen buddhism
teaches that we are one with the universe. That everything we touch and smell,
everything we see and experience
is an expression of who we (individually and collectively)
are.
When you overlay the two philosophies, they are saying the same thing just from a different perspective.
While to some, the two perspectives are polar
opposites; science from the perspective of the particle, and the zen buddhist
teachings from the perspective of the self, they still convey the same message.
They are Converging to the same conclusion as to the nature of creation
and our place within it.
Quantum mechanics
states that the fundamental level of reality
is a set or sets of probabilities.
Zen Buddhism states that the fundamental
level of reality is manifest through our desires.
"The storing center of ideation (alaya-vijnana).
The Tibetans (Zen) refer to it as the 'consciousness which is the substratum
of all'.
It is a kind of eternal repository from which can be drawn the substance of
every possible image and idea."(1)
Quantum mechanics
states that everything is manifest from characteristicless
quantum foam.
Zen Buddhism states that everything is manifest
from the mind of the eternal.
Quantum mechanics tries to eliminate
the white noise from complex systems to study it's pre-manifest form.
Zen Buddhism strives to quite the mind to see reality as it really is.
(Or as it is not.)
Both quantum mechanics and zen buddhism have
reached the same conclusion:
You are the key to the manifest nature of reality.
